Company at a Glance

Barito Pacific was established within the framework of the Domestic Capital Investment Law No. 6, year 1968 based on Notarial Deed No.8 of Kartini Muljadi, S.H. dated April 4, 1979 under the name of PT Bumi Raya Pura Mas Kalimantan. The Company's Articles of Association was approved by the Ministry of Justice in its Decision Letter No. J.A.5/195/8 dated July 23, 1979 and was published in State Gazette of Republic of Indonesia No .84, Supplement No.24 dated October 19,1979. Based on Notarial Deed No. 33 of Benny Kristianto, S.H. dated August 29, 2007, the Company changed its name to PT Barito Pacific Tbk. The Company's Articles of Association have been amended several times, most recently by Notarial Deed No. 21 of the Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGMS), dated July 19, 2019 concerning, among others, the changes in additional issued and paid-up capital into 88,957,934,390  In 1993, Barito Pacific became a publicly listed company and it has now transformed into an integrated energy company with multiple power and industrial assets.

The Company’s core businesses operate in power generation and petrochemical production, with industrial assets in sectors that are renewable and resource-oriented with significant growth potential through business diversification and vertical integration.

In 2007, the Company acquired majority ownership interest in CAP, and in 2008 it acquired PT Tri Polyta Indonesia Tbk., which further merged in 2011 and become PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk. CAP is the largest and only integrated petrochemical company in Indonesia with current total production capacity of 3,458 KTPA.

In June 2018, Barito Pacific acquired majority ownership in Star Energy, the largest geothermal company in Indonesia and third largest in the world, with 875MW of installed capacity.

The Company is also engaged in a Joint Venture company with a subsidiary of PT Indonesia Power, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PLN, to develop 2 x 1,000MW Ultra Super Critical class power plant (Java 9 & 10), one of the most energy efficient and environmentally friendly coal technology in the market.

Our property business, which is operated through GI and its subsidiaries, is engaged in the investment and development of commercial and industrial properties that support our petrochemical and power assets.
