Chandra Asri has obtained SNI 8887:2020 certification, a standard for gas pipe application raw materials for High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) products, Asrene® SP4808. Through this product, Chandra Asri is committed to supporting the Government's target in building natural gas distribution grid (jargas) for 4 million household connections by 2024. Chandra Asri's Asrene®SP4808 is a material that has the best long-term strength in its class with a classification of PE 100; better than the type of material commonly used for gas pipe applications, PE 80.
The use of Asrene® SP4808 for gas pipeline applications can also increase domestic components level (TKDN), given that the raw materials used for gas grid projects are 100% imports. Therefore, the Asrene® SP4808 product can be a solution from both technical and commercial perspective to help the national strategic program, jargas for the people, comes true.
Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1443 H, Chandra Asri distributed 900 food packages through the DKI Jakarta Environmental Service (DLH), which would then be distributed to cleaning officers at the Jakarta Recycle Center (JRC) and the Integrated Waste Management Unit (UPST) in Bantargebang.The delivery of food packages was carried out on 20 April 2022 and was received symbolically by Plt.Head of UPST Agung Pujo Winarko.
In addition to JRC and UPST Bantargebang officers, Chandra Asri also distributed 215 food packages to operators of the Integrated Waste Management Industry – Atasi Sampah, Kelola Mandiri (IPST ASARI) and surrounding communities in Link. Serdag, Purwakarta, Cilegon. In addition, food packagess were also donated to several residents who did not have a permanent livelihood.
Chandra Asri won 2 award categories in the Corporate Emissions Transparency Award 2022. There is Transparency of Emission Reduction in the Green category and Transparency of Emission Calculations in the Gold category. This award was given by the investor magazine in collaboration with the independent party PT Bumi Global Karbon. The assessment of this award is based on looking at the disclosure of information in this year's Sustainability Report. For the assessment of the emission reduction success category, refer to the standard formulated by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol).

Chandra Asri launched Trilene® RI20HC0; a Polypropylene (PP) resin that can be used as a raw material for the manufacture of syringes. The resin is specially designed to meet the strictest medical standard for syringe applications that can also support the Government's program in accelerating COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters in Indonesia.
Trilene® RI20HC02 has passed medical device biocompatibility testing and also certified with ISO 10993 standards. Thus, this resin is safe to use as a medical device application because it has been tested for its appropriateness in managing biological risks. This medical device has also been confirmed to have no potentially harmful physiological effects for humans. The Trilene® RI20HC02 is Chandra Asri’s form of commitment to develop the national petrochemical industry to support the government in creating the independence of the domestic industrial sector.
As a commitment to implementing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (Chandra Asri) continues its circular economy program, Asphalt Plastic Road for Indonesia Asri, which is targeted to reach 100 km by 2023. As of December 2021, the Company has implemented 50.8 km of plastic road across various locations in Indonesia in collaboration with its partner. The plastic road uses a total of 37.5 million pieces of plastic waste; or equal to 282 tons of waste that has been successfully managed from the landfill (TPA).
Asphalt Plastics Road for Indonesia Asri is one of Chandra Asri’s ESG implementation through circular economy program to contribute to a cleaner environment. This program was made possible through a solid collaboration and participation of various stakeholders in dealing with waste problem, especially plastic waste. Initiating positive partnerships for Asphalt Plastic Road is one of our participation as a market leader in implementing circular economy.
In an effort to increase public awareness regarding biodiversity conservation (Kehati), Chandra Asri held socialization regarding the use of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) and household waste management on Thursday, 31 March 2022. Located in one of the Company's fostered PAUD Cahaya Bintang in Grogol Indah Village, Anyar District, Serang, Banten, the socialization was attended by 25 residents who were the representatives of parents and PAUD teachers. During the socialization, the Company also distributed plant seeds and symbolic planting of seeds.
In addition to biodiversity socialization, Chandra Asri also provided firefighting training. The demonstration was done by the Company's Emergency Response Team (ERT), followed by firefighting practices from the participants. Through these activities, residents are expected to gain an understanding of the first actions that must be taken when fire occurs in the area around residential areas.
