Appointment of New BRPT Directors

PT Barito Pacific Tbk held an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on 24 September 2020 at Wisma Barito Pacific – Jakarta, with the observance of strict health protocols. This EGMS was headed by Mr. Henky Susanto, an Independent Commissioner of the Company. The EGMS accepted the resignation of Mr. Andry Setiawan as the Company’s Director and approved the appointment of Mr. David Raimond Sulaiman and Mrs. Diana Arsiyanti as the new Directors of the Company effective at the close of the EGMS.

Barito Pacific Group Donates Food Packages

Barito Pacific Group and its subsidiaries namely Chandra Asri, Star Energy, and the Bakti Barito Foundation handed over 1000 packages of basic necessities to residents around the Barito Pacific Group office location in Slipi, Jakarta. This donation was handed over to the community representative, Police station office representative in Palmerah in the spirit of sharing during the pandemic and in welcoming the Holy Month of Ramadan. Barito Pacific Group Vice President Director Rudy Suparman said: “We want to share with the community and help those who affected by the economy in this pandemic situation. Hopefully, this basic food aid can ease their burden in the holy month of Ramadan".

Barito Pacific Group Donates IDR 40 Billion for Handling Covid-19

Prajogo Pangestu, Founder and Chairman of Barito Pacific Group distributed medical assistance worth IDR 40 billion to deal with the corona pandemic (COVID-19). This donation was handed over in stages and distributed to hospitals in DKI Jakarta, West Java and Banten. This donation was obtained from subsidiaries of the Barito Pacific Group, namely Chandra Asri Petrochemical, Star Energy and the Bakti Barito Foundation. According to the President Director of Barito Pacific, Agus Salim Pangestu, the medical assistance provided included 45,000 COVID-19 test kits consisting of a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and a rapid test kit. There are also 120,000 surgical masks and N95 masks, as well as 2 ventilator units. Include in this donation are 60,000 personal protective equipment, dozens of oxygen therapy kits, hundreds of gloves, boots, and other equipment.

Bapak Prajogo Pangestu, President Commissioner of PT Barito Pacific Tbk., received a State Honor, Bintang Jasa Utama from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, at the State Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (15/8). Bintang Jasa Utama is an honor given by the State of the Republic of Indonesia to civilians for their distinguished service to the country.  Bapak Prajogo Pangestu dedicated his life to develop and improve Indonesia’s Petrochemical and Geothermal Industries.

Presiden Direktur PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (CAP) Erwin Ciputra (Tengah), bersama sejumlah karyawan CAP dan ratusan relawan dari berbagai komunitas peduli lingkungan, mengumpulkan sampah untuk didaur ulang, pada kegiatan World Clean Up Day 2018, di Jakarta, Sabtu (15/11). CAP mendukung kegiatan edukasi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman pentingnya proses reuse, reduce, recycle atau daur ulang sampah sebagai salah satu solusi penanganan sampah di DKI Jakarta yang mencapai 7.000 ton per hari.

Indonesia, South Korea agree on development of Suralaya Power Plant

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Indo Raya Tenaga (Indonesia) agreed on a commitment with Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction (South Korea) for the construction of Unit 9 and 10 of Suralaya Coal Fired Power Plant in Banten.

"This MoU is very meaningful. We hope that the construction of Unit 9 and 10 of Suralaya Coal Fired Power Plant will run smoothly in the future," President Director of PT Indo Raya Tenaga Sapto Aji Nugroho in a statement received here on Monday.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding was carried out at the Korea-Indonesia Industrial Cooperation Forum held at Lotte Hotel, Jung-gu, Seoul.

Nugroho said that Doosan had been chosen as the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractor for Unit 9 and 10 of Suralaya Coal Fired Power Plant in Banten.

In the proposal, Doosan has included K-Exim and K-Sure, South Korean export financing institutions.

A leader of EPC Business Group Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, Yun Seok Won, said that the total cost of Suralaya Power Plant construction was estimated at 1.9 trillion Won.

However, the value of the work unit involving Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction is projected to reach around 1.5 trillion Won.

"With this MoU, we will be able to further strengthen our partnership with the Indonesian Government and clients," he said.

Through the implementation of the project, Doosan plans to increase its contribution to Indonesia`s efforts to meet its electricity needs.

"We plan to expand it. The construction of Unit 9 and 10 of Suralaya Coal Fired Power Plant will be started in the first quarter of 2019," he stated.
