PT Synthetic Rubber Indonesia (SRI) is a joint venture between CAP and Michelin.

SRI plans to build a synthetic rubber plant located adjacent with our petrochemical complex in Cilegon. This plant is expected to be operational in 2018. The investment cost of this project is estimated at US$435 million with 120KTA plant capacity. The Synthetic Rubber plant will produce Polybutadiene Rubber (PBR) and Solution Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SSBR). Both products are utilized as raw materials for the production of environmental friendly tires.
